Project Details - Case File 1
The idea of Case File 1 and all games in the Infection Case Files series is to create a zombie game that avoids the boring slow paced action of normal survival horror games and to include many twists and original ideas to the genre. There are several things that will set Infection Case Files apart from the bigger, more professional games and give it a more original edge.
The Stat Bars and Game-Play Methods
Stat bars are going to play a BIG part of how you react in certain circumstances, you will have to manage Ammo, Health, Energy, Hunger and Sanity.
Ammo Explained: Ammunition will be very scarce in this game, more often then not your player will have to rely on their many Melee attacks to take down enemies so that they can reserve ammo for the tougher enemies. However, by resorting to Melee Attacks you will be in very close range to your enemy and will find that you will loose health very quickly.
Health Explained: Health in most games is just simple, you get bitten, you loose health… well it’s the same with this game, however, if you find somewhere to rest your character will heal themselves, so you don’t need to carry round hundreds of health packs, but there’s a twist, finding a resting place will be very difficult and sometimes even more dangerous then just continuing with low health.
Energy Explained: Energy will effect how powerful your melee attacks are and how far you can travel. If your energy is low your character will start to slow down, deliver weaker melee attacks and have a less accurate shot. You will also loose energy for everything you do, if you run, you loose energy, if you fight, you loose energy. The only time you will ever gain energy is when you are eating and resting.
Hunger Explained: The hunger will be what forces your character to actually explore his surroundings, everything has been destroyed from looters, nut-jobs, zombie hordes, mutant rampages and other survivors so food is not something you just come across. you will have to figure out when the best to search is, otherwise you will find your character has starved to death while you was concentrating on killing things.
Sanity Explained: Sanity is the thing that really puts this game on a whole new level to normal survival horrors, if your character sees someone die, they loose sanity, if they come across mutants, rotting corpses, get surrounded, come across their fear or shoot a friendly, they loose sanity and the only way to keep your character from going totally nuts is to save people, be nice, talk to other survivors and be brought back to the reality that there is still truth behind this nightmare.
